Connecting to VPN stops Internet and Multiple Networks Issue
Hi, I had this issue with Vista and since upgrading to 7 RC1 I seem to get
the same issue so it's abveously supposed to happen.

I am on a corporate lan, I have VPN access allowed from my desktop through
the corporate firewall, I VPN out to an external place, my home network for
example, the home network has a local lan of 10.10.10.x and my corporate is a
10.154.x.x.

When I connect to the VPN it connects fine but I loose access to the
corporate lan, my outlook drops, my internet access drops, when I open
network and sharing is shows:

(This Computer)---X----- Multiple Networks-----X------Internet

Instead of the normal allowing me through, whats the deal, it used to work
just fine but the last few months I cannot VPN out and still work, when the
VPN is established I can get to the remote network and get to the internet
from there (RDP).

This must be by design but how do I fix it so I can have the VPN established
and be able to browse both networks?

Thanks

Mike

question 1- which default gateway are you using for the VPN
'Quickly enable/disable default gateway for VPN on Windows | Diary
Products - Hannes Schmidt'

question 2- have you changed the order of the default connections
'Windows Vista and VPN problem | Tech Off | Channel 9'
(scroll all the way to the bottomm read last post)

question 3- have you tried to add a staic route for the VPN
'Configuring multiple gateways on a network - Windows Vista Help'

normally changing the default gatewa will solve the porblem but in case
it dosent u can try out the other links
