still need to reset LAC everytime I turn on my pc

hello all,
I got my new pc about a month and it got problem connecting to the
internet, everytime I start up the computer or return from sleep mode I
lose all connection! I have to either "Diagnose and repair" -> reset
Local Area Connection, or unplug modem and router to reset them, or do
both to get a connection.

it's very annoying to do it a few times a day...

I have checked many post and ask HP customer service and nothing work.
(i.e. IPv6 uncheck, reset things...)

Does anyone know what is happening?

My pc is vista home premium, hard wire to the router (not wireless).

The first thing I would check is go into Device Manager, find your
network card and right click and select Properties. Click Power
Management Tab. Make sure that "Allow the computer to turn off this
device to save power" is NOT checked. If it is, uncheck it, click OK
all the way out, and reboot. See if you got lucky.

thanks for your reply, that have been done before and still not working.

also went to the 192.168.1.1 which is needed sometimes to get on the
internet.
