Logon Failure: the user has not granted the requested logon type at this

I tried networking my vista laptop with my xp desktop but i have two issues:

1) My vista machine wont show up in the xp network places.
2) The xp machine shows up in the vista network sharing but i get thiserror
when i double click it to access the files "Logon Failure: the user has not
granted the requested logon type at this
computer."

The workgrioups are the same on both machines and i'm connecting wirelessly
to a router from vista but wired from the router to xp.

Please help.
