Internet connection will not stay connected
I am helping a neighbor setup their brand new HP Vista Home Premium computer.
Everything seems to be working fine except for their internet connection.
There are six user profiles setup on the computer. I came over to help them
setup their DSL broadband connection so they could get to the internet. I had
to set the connection (create a connectoid for their ISP) up in each profile
before each user could access the internet. I'll call them users 1 - 6. If
user 1 was logged on using the internet connection and then decides to log
off and let users 2-6 use the computer, user 2 would then have to setup their
connection or do a repair in order to use the internet. Then if user 1 logs
back on they have to go to the "Connect To" and click on their ISP connectoid
before they could gain access to the internet again. Is this behavior by
default. There is an option to Save the Username and Password for all users
on this computer, which I chose but it doesn't save this setting in the ISP
connecoid...there is a shield next to the Everyone radio button so I suspect
that the proper privileges may be the culprit. Oh and by the way I set them
all to administrators at least until I can figure out how they can all use
the same connectoid for their ISP connection. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
