Accessing Vista PC Files From XP Wireles Desktop
I have a wirless home network with an XP desktop connected wirelessly to a
new Vista Home Premium desktop. The Vista machine is internet connected
through a cable modem/Linsys wireless router. I have enabled file sharing on
the vista machine for a particular folder, networkk discovery is on, file
sharing on, passwrod protect off and Media Sharing off. I am registered on
both machines under the same name.

The problem is when I try to acess the folder from the XP machine I am
denied access. The folder contains several sub-folders with family photos.
It is not under my user account, On the drive tree it is C:\Family Photos.
What I am I missing in setting up sharing this folder to from my XP machine?

RE: Accessing Vista PC Files From XP Wireles Desktop
All,

I'm sorry that you're experiencing trouble. Airstream1, are you using the
same non-black passwords in your accounts?

Vbritt, you have found a very good way to share files on Vista - move them
to Public. See the following easy-to-read Help article on this:
