To add to my other reply you might look at the TechNet Terminal Services
page. Specifically the "Security and Protection" section. It does not
directly pertain to Vista Business as the Remote Desktop host but it may be
interesting reading nontheless.

Are you in a domain environment or are you running Terminal Server on a W2K3
or W2K server? If so the microsoft.public.windows.terminal_services news
group has a lot of good help.
If this is a standalone desktop you want to access I have a short Vista PPTP
VPN page you may be interested in.

You can easily access the local network through the VPN tunnel for shared
file access and Remote Desktop access.
