Is the LLTD responder required on XP SP3

Have found solution (for myself anyway, it may not be to anyone else's
liking). Uninstalled SP3, installed LLTD then reinstalled SP3. All working
ok. Even have WHS Server showing correctly.

LLTD does make it easy to see XP pc's it vista network map like a few
of you say ( a bit like the cisco CDP but simpler) but certain ppl when
slipstream SP3 and do a clean install suddenly find themselfs lost itn
the utterness idiocracy of whomever put the sp3 together in first place.

Please if anyone is havig isues resoving or wants to have lltd working
on theire clean XP SP3 install read my forum please.

Hello...

I have a vista pc and an xp sp3 pc.

I tried to manually install the LLTD responder on a windows XP SP3 PC,
but it won't install, it says that update is not necessary, but LLTD
responder does not appear in the network properties!!!

HEEELPPPP

I can't share printers or files, the XP pc does not appear in the vista
and vice versa, although they have the same workgroup.
