Offline Files Icon Overlay
So Vista has this icon overlay feature for Offline Files. I find this
icon overlay to be very disorienting when looking at a folder,
especially in Details view. I have found a way to disable the icon
overlay by removing the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\explorer
\ShellIconOverlayIdentifiers\Offline Files
However, from what I understand, the icon overlay changes from a happy
green circle to a red/gray X when there is a problem syncing. I would
still like to see this icon when there is a problem but I don't need
the 'everything's okay alarm' icon. Does anyone know of a way to get
this happy medium?
