Vista for home office network

Vista for home office network
Dear All,

I need help for my vista.i have new laptop with vista as OS,i have trouble
with setting for office network.In my office we use cable LAN through to the
server and via server we connected to internet.Basicly when i connect LAN
Cable to my new laptop,i can directly use internet,but when i want to explore
my network place,there is no other computer that i can see in my network,just
my computer.Before when i used windows xp,i can take file from server but now
with vista i couldnt take file from server because in the network explore
there is no other computer that i can explore.For Helpfull Our Server use
Windows 2000 for OS and other computer use Windows XP as OS.Just my new
Laptop use Vista Business

I can ping to each other,and there is no problem for ping.but i still cannot
see other computer who connected to the server.others computer cannot see

Do you have Network discovery and File sharing enabled? What do you receive
if using net view command on the Vitas?

yea my discorery network and file sharing has enabled.when i type ping to ip
my new laptop (192.168.054) in the command prompt from the computer running
xp,the command prompt shown ping 192.168.0.54 with 32 bytes of data, request
timed out show 4 times,and then ping statistic 192.168.0.54, packets : sent =
4, received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss)
