Most DSL connections require a user name and password. Newer DSL modems keep
the user name and password information so you don't have to entering them
when you want to connect, but older ones do not. You can use a router
(better solution for you anyway if you have multiple computers) and it will
save the user name and password for you.
Check with your Internet Service Provider for help setting up your DSL
connection.
