After installing SP1 for Vista, PC won't share on the network.

Hello all,

After installing SP1 RTM for Vista, PC won't share on the network. I
reconfigure the network + all the shares and the PC has blocked access.

Any Ideas?

Possibly the Windows Firewall was enabled and you already have a firewall
running from third-party security software? My network sharing wasn't
affected after I installed SP1 (RTM from MSDN) so there is something on
your machine causing the issue.

Exact text of error message? Name of antivirus/security software? Domain or
Workgroup computer?

Are you running the 64-bit version of Vista?

If so, when did you receive the update for SP1? It is possible you got the
service pack that was accidentally released. Here is the article about it:

I would uninstall the service pack if this pertains to you. It told me that
I was not connected to any network, meanwhile I was connected to my network!
What a mess!
