Large file copy Vista U x64 -> Vista U x64

I have SP1 RTM installed on both machines. When I copy a 22gb large file
using the UNC path, Vista allocates all available memory(4gb) - on the
"sender" machine.

If I however map a drive from the sender and then copies the file, it
works fine. I even get about 600mb/sec from my laptops GB link, which is
more than OK.

I have earlier downloaded some KB file that should adress the memory
problem, but when I try to install that KB it just says "this patch
doesn't apply to your OS"(even though I've gotten the x64 version.
Thought it should be fixed in SP1.... but alas
