Because a) I don't have a router and I don't feel like searching one
that fulfills all my needs mainly due to the fact that b) the scenario
I'm using is pretty weird.
I have two NICs that are connected to two different networks, one of
which identifies me by my MAC... Both networks contain different pcs,
some of which should be allowed to share my internet connection but who
gets how much bandwidth should be controllable as well... Oh, and there
has to be a certain degree of bridging so that some or all pcs from
network A can access network B, but only via the gateway, as not to
trigger the MAC guard...
and If I just go into a shop and by a simple rounter i can swear that
it won't be able to manage that... but the two software solutions I
found both had no problems with this configuration, but they are both
not Vista x64 compatible...
