Wireless Not Working After installing Vista
Hello, I have a Gateway MX7515 notebook with a Broadcom wireless adapter. My
problem is after installing Windows Vista, attempting to install the broadcom
driver crashes my computer. I found the latest driver which is version 4.xxx
and installed it. Now when I try to connect to my router, I get the limited
or no connectivity statement. Is there a new driver out there for Vista that
can fix this. I tried live chatting with Microsoft, Gateway, and emailing
Broadcom, but no help.

Re: Wireless Not Working After installing Vista

Hello Guys,

Any update on this? I have a similar problem regading my Broadcom
802.11g Network Adapter in my Vista. I bought a Lenovo 3000 G430 laptop.
At first, I installed Vista Home Premium 32bit. The wifi was working
because the light that refers to the wifi is blinking. I installed a
different OS on my laptop from Vista HomePremium to Vista Ultimate. Now
the wifi has no activity. Or the light is not blinking anymore. i have a
wifi router to test but i can not connect. i tried using different
device (iPHone) to connect to that router it was working. Any help on
this?

When I check on my device manager the Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter
is listed with no yellow icon.

Re: Wireless Not Working After installing Vista
Similar problems for me with Vista. I had to disable IPv6 driver in the
network configuration. still have v4 enabled. But I have to reset my router
after every time I connect one of my XP comupters through that router and
then want to reconnect the Vista laptop. The issue has to do with getting
through the router to my DSL conenction for DNS access at AT&T. The simple 10
second router power reset "fixes" the connection. The other computers are
not impacted at all. Frustrating. Vista gives little help.
