Network WLAN not working launch programme

Hi all hope some one will help

Have just installed vista on to Fujitsu Siemens AmiloA1650 laptop. The
wireless network card driver installed but having major trouble getting the
launch software and button to work. Seams that the software installs but you
can not turn on the WLAN. Have looked on makers site and i have the latest
also i did check and there were no problems on that side.
So any help at there would be appreciated
