VPN Issue Error 741
Hello

Using vista ultimate rc1 and trying to connect to a windows 2000 vpn server
across the net.

Works fine with windows xp default vpn settings but in vista I get:

Error 471: "the local computer does not support the required data encryption
type"

I have already tried turning on an off most of the security settings in the
connection, anyone got experience of this?

Brian

Do you use "No encryption" to connect to the server? There are some security
enhancements in Vista. Check out the post

for more information
