Vista folders
I recently had a crash on my servers that when I fixed started giving me
problems with DFS. I have gotten DFS to work with the windows XP machines,
but the Vista machines are giving me fits. Following the XP->Vista roaming
profiles whitesheet I have set it up correctly but am now unable to access
Documents, Music and Pictures from the Start menu, though videos work fine.
The only way I can access them is to go through the C drive and Users. Now I
have 3 files in the Users folder that I believe were for those previously,
but I cannot access the files. They are 0 bytes and cannot be deleted or
modified. I feel they were for this and would like to reestablish the
connection to them.

Re: Vista folders
You may want to take over the ownership. This link may help,
Vista: "Destination Folder Access ...The administrator may lost the
ownership of the folder. To do take over the ownership, right click on the
file or folder. ...

Re: Vista folders
Tried taking ownership of the folders. This still did not fix the problem.
Going to properties on the start menu for documents, music and pictures
brings up a blank link. There is nothing on the general tab no name, no
size, no nothing. The sync center shows that everything is in sync.

Are you using DFS replication?
