Wireless network signal problems

If it has to do with some Vista-internal - sorry, I wouldn't know. But try
the following: change the WLAN-channel and see if there is an improvement.
This has helped me already in several situations.

support and thet say it is something in Vista causing the problem. I have

are you using an XP driver or a Vista driver on Vista? which driver
exactly?

posting the TEXT output of

ipconfig /all

from an elevated command prompt may help.

I am using the XP driver in XP and the Vista driver in Vista. Both came
straight from Linksys. The XP driver version is 2.0.2.0 dated 4/13/05 and the
Vista driver is version 3.0.2.0 dated 12/27/06. Thanx for the info. Any other
ideas?....AC

try updating the driver from device manager, update driver. the
newest driver may not necessarily be from Linksys. I'd also
unbind/uncheck IPv6.

XP and Vista report the link speed differently. the Linksys utility
reports differently that Windows native tools. If you transfer the
same file from each OS, how long does it take?
