But I AM connected to the Internet!
I used a dial-up connection last week, and now that I'm back on my home
broadband Inet Explorer keeps popping up "No connection, do you want to
connect to (dialup)?".

This is wrong as the b'band connection is working fine.

The dialog box needs button for "Don't be so darn silly, just get on with
the job", but unfortunately there's only "Connect" or "Cancel".

Any clues on how to fix this?

Vista Home Premium, HP dv2517 laptop.

Steve.

Re: But I AM connected to the Internet!
Try this: Open IE>Tools>Internet Options. Check Never dial connection. Click
OK to save the settings.

Re: But I AM connected to the Internet!

or simply goto your control panel -> internet options and 'delete' the
account/settings for your dialup all together, especially if you were
away on vacation etc and used a pre-paid or someone elses dial-up
account just while you were away.
