Opening files from SharePoint Server with Vista

We have SharePoint Server 2003 and almost all the terminals have WinXP but
some have Vista Business and with the last ones we have a performance problem:

When some user with Vista tries to open a file (xls, doc) from SharePoint it
takes too long (1 to 2 minutes) to display it in Excel or Word application.
But on the other hand users with WinXP takes about 3 seconds to open the same
file.

Does anyones has encountered the same issue?
