unable to connect to internet through router
I have two new compaq computers using vista. I am trying to connect both to
the internet through a router. I can only get one to work at a time and
wanted to know if there are settings that need to be changed in vista or if
im connecting things wrong...

RE: unable to connect to internet through router
Sounds like an IP problem to me, but to be sure, go through the following
steps and evaluate your results:
1. Hit Win-button & R
2. In the run dialog box, write cmd and hit Enter
3. In the "DOS" environment, write ipconfig
4. Do the same operation on the other computer
3. Compare the results

When comparing the results, look out for identical IP-addresses. If they're
the same, then check your DHCP settings on your router. It's probably sending
one address to everybody...
