Win Media Center removing files

Hi There,

I have an external HDD. I only want windows media centre to watch and
display 2 of the folders i have stored there. One contains my music and one
contains my pictures.

Now it displays all the contents on my external HDD. I want to reset this
so that i can manually add them again.

I have adjusted the watched folders option in WMC however it doesnt seem to
respond.
