Sometimes odd things happen if you use files which are not totally
compatible with MM. So it's always best to use bitmap images and wma/wav/wmv
audio, not jpeg or mp3's.
SO first I'd suggest you try a sample project with a couple of bitmaps and a
wav music file and see if you get the same problem. If you do come back with
how you are trying to do this and we'll take it further.
Also, if you just make slideshows you might find photostory3 from MS is more
suited to you, as it is designed to do this job, whereas MM is really for
video.
