Black display screen in windows movie maker......

I had a similar problem ---- every time i add a transition to the timeline it
stops working in the display screenuntil i take the transition out and put
it back in----annoying...someone mentioned that this is a mocrosoft problem
and they are working on an update.... does anyone know if this is the
case---- again i stress how annoying this problem is after you spend an hour
working on a movie and the display screen just turns black screen...

To what?????

What file types are you using? This often happens if you use a file which is
properly compatible with MM, see
