Frustrated

I have Vista64 and a firewire card. The drivers are there and the card
shows up in device manager, but when I connect my digital camera to the
firewire it will not show!

Rarely the camera will connect for 1 second, then disconnect again.
Camera is a Sony dcr-hc96. This worked fine on XP.

I also got the ram to below 4, so I dont think that is an issue.

Hi, I have a gateway windows vista basic home premium pc and i am new to vista.
i cannot download my videos from mi video camara to my pc.
Does anybody know which kind of card or usb or firewire card do i need for
connecting my video camera to my pc and download my videos from the camera to
the movie maker program?
