Music missing from DVD Slide show but on CD slideshow

On Vista Home Premium I have made a slide show in Windows Movie Maker. If I
publish it to a C.D. the Disc works perfectly in my computer, pictures,
transitions, special effects and music. This is fine but I want to put it all
on a D.V.D. as part of a wedding present for somebody that has a D.V.D.
player and not a computer I have followed the instructions to the letter and
everything works perfectly on the D.V.D. except it is totally silent. Silent
movies went out with Charlie Chaplin!! This is frustrating me and time is
running out for me to be able to do this for the happy couple. Any help would
be very gratefully received, but please make it simple as I am a novice at
this game and am still not up on all the jargon. Thanks in anticipation

It could be the type of audio you are making with dvd maker (is that what
you are using?) is not compatible with the dvd player, lpcm and ac-3 are
best, mpeg often causes problems.
