Making Digital Pictures into JPEG Format

Everytime I upload my pictures onto my computer they automatically save as
something besides JPEG and I was wondering if anyone knew how I could go
about making them into JPEG format. I thought I knew a lot about computers
until I got this laptop!

Maybe you're saving RAW files. For example...
if it's a Nikon the extension would be .nef
and if it's a Canon it would be .cr2 or .crw

If you prefer to download as JPEG [.jpg]...
check your camera documentation for the
correct settings.

If you need an app that can open and re-save
the files...try IrfanView or FastStone Image
Viewer.
