My girlfriend's computer is having some trouble with Vista on her desktop.
When playing music in any media player, the sound skips exactly every 60
seconds. So she'll start playing a song (either CD or on her HD) and it'll
skip at 0:18 then again at 1:18 and 2:18 and so on. Does this with video and
DVDs too. It's driving me and her crazy, and I've updated all the drivers
with no luck. Nothing in the even viewer. I even tried her onboard AC97 and
it still did the same thing. No processor use blips, or RAM usage spikes.
I tried a clean boot and also disabling sound enhancements to no avail.
