Only audio from speakers when headphone is plugged in!!

Suddenly when i plugged in my headphones the speakers where working. The
settings seem to have been switched!?
All drivers are up to date, and the sound card is a Conexant.

Hopefully someone can help,

Right click on the Speaker icon in the Notification Area of the Taskbar, select
Playback Devices, highlight the headphone jack and set as Default. Or is there
a Conexant Audio Control Panel in you Programs Group or in Control Panel where
you can configure for automatic playback to headphones when they are plugged in?
