Quicktime problem on Vista?

I have some movies created on my Kodak Z740 digital camera. They are all
..MOV files. When I play them on my Win XP computer with QuickTime 6.5 they
play flawlessly. When I transfer the .MOV files to my Vista computer and try
to play them with QuickTime 7.1.6, they don't play properly. Some play but
become pixelated, some crash the computer becuase they had a "buffer
overrun" problem.

My Vista PC has Vista Home Premium with 2GB RAM and a dual core processor.

I need to work on them on the Vista PC because that is where I have Roxio
installed. Can I convert them on my XP PC to a different format that doesn't
use QuickTime? Your ideas are appreciated.

Do a Google search for "convert mov files" and you'll find all kinds
of articles and applications that convert this file type.

It makes me mad! I am always telling other people to search Google for
solutions to their problems and then I don't do that myself!

The very first item on the list suggested RAD Video as a conversion tool.
Converted all of the files into one .avi file without a hitch.
