Windows Media Player

When I play songs it skips near the very end of the song as if i were using a
scratched cd....what can i do to make it stop?

Do you have a Sigma Tel audio adapter?

Have you gone to Control Panel > Sounds > Playback Devices, highlight Speakers,
Properties tab, and disabled all enhancements? This apparently works for many
users with Sigma Tel audio adapters.

This works on a Dell XPS410 with SigmaTel audio.

Right Click on speaker icon in lower right.
Left click sounds.
Left click Playback Tab.
Double click Speakers/Headphones
Left click Enhancements tab.
Check mark 'Disable all enhancements'
