burning a film on dvd

If i want to burn a film ( from my camcorder) than it stopts in the middle??
I have a HP npavillion DV 6000ea.
Does somebody have the same problem or know how to fix it?

Try not to use the built-in burning feature and use a program like nero,
the built-in feature is very basic and causes lots of problems and also
dont burn it while its still on your camcorder the connections would be
way too slow.
