Audio lagging behind video by a couple seconds

Any idea why in windows media the audio on a mpeg would be a couple seconds
behind from the video? this is kinda annoying because the people speaking do
not move in sync with the audio.....any idea why?

If you have a SigmaTel sound card, it is a problem with the drivers. Go into
the settings for the soundcard under playback devices and tell Windows to
disable all enhancements.
