movie stills

I need help on how to copy movie stills from dvd. I met the Dalai Lama and it
was filmed. I have that on dvd but would like a photo to hang in my house.
Help!

a quick and easy way....

Play your dvd in media player, pause it at the frame you want.
(make the window as big as u can)

press the print screen button

open the Paint program

press Ctrl V

use paint to crop out any windows bits around the edges

same your image

If you have Nero Showtime, play it and hit "C" to capture the frame.

You can also open the movie on DVD in Windows Movie Maker
Play the movie, and pause at the frame you want.
then go to Tools - Take picture from preview
it saves the frame to a .jpg
note the path it saves it to, so you can find it later.
