Vista explorer crashes during slideshow

Whenever I use the slideshow feature in windows vista, it crashes either
before the first picture even appears or soon after. Vista automatically
restarts explorer at this point. I tried fixing the problem and it appears
that this happens only when viewing pictures taken by my sister's Casio
EX-Z40 but not with pictures taken by several of my Sony cameras. I am
running the latest drivers for all my hardware and have all the latest
windows updates, but the problem persists. Does anybody have a similar
problem and/or know how to solve it?
