burning recorded tv to DVD verrrry slow?

I recorded a TV program, 1 hr, in Media Center, OK worked great. Then I chose
to burn to a DVD. The message says it could take a few hours, and to click ok
to continue & work in the background. So, OK, but it has been 5 hours and it
still shows only 33% done. Is this normal?
I have Vista Ultimate, P4 processor, and 1G ram.
