using webcam in place of scanner: please hep

Hello,

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium at home
on a laptop that came with a 1.3 megapixel camera
and my scanner is brokn. I need to scan in a diagram
from a book before returning it to the library so I want
to use my webcam.

Can anyone suggest a way to take a picture from the
webcam so that I can simply save a copy of the image
on disk without having to wait for my scanner to be fixed?
