Help with Movie maker

Ok I have a .mswmm file from my XP computer that crashed but I recovered
a few files and I tried to load the file on Vista but it wouldnt open
with Windows Movie Maker 2.6. I got a message about codecs. My computer
is 32 bit btw. Anyone know how I can fix this?

What...exactly...is the error message?

If you double left click the .mswmm file
it should launch Movie Maker but the
..mswmm file only records the path to the
source files...do you still have the original
files? (photos, movie clips, music files).

Best bet may be to start over.
