If you've only just brought the machine and haven't made any changes have a
word with the supplier or manufacturer and ask them for a machine that
actually works.
In this case its probably due to some of the software they installed on the
machine before you brought it. Anything related to media or video could do
that.
You could try going to Tools -> Options -> Compatibility and unchecking
anything listed there, see if that resolves it.
