Windows Media Player Double Click Action
I love WMP 11 but one thing bugs me to the point where I almost want to use a
different program. When I am browsing my library, I usually have it sorted by
songs, so I see my WHOLE collection of like 600+ songs. When I want to play a
song, naturally I double click on it. The problem is, if I already had a now
playing list, it is overwritten, and now my playlist has EVERY song (Play
All). Is there ANY way to change the action to when I double click on a song,
it just adds it to my playlist?

RE: Windows Media Player Double Click Action
This really annoys me too. I've found that you can get around it with the
context menu (use "Play" or the "Add to" option or submenu), but straight
double-click would make me much happier.

Re: Windows Media Player Double Click Action

If you set HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\P references,
value name "LibraryDoubleClickQueueV11" to the REG_DWORD value 0x1, does WMP
then make you happier?

Re: Windows Media Player Double Click Action

Well they have had the double load bug since 10. You wipe out the
library then tell it exactly where to find your songs and it duplicates
every song from the folder. Just another Bill Gates piece of junk
program. I have went through near every setting to stop this if anyone
knows how to work around it let me know.

Re: Windows Media Player Double Click Action

I'm unaware of this bug - how are you able to reproduce it?
Have you verified the file paths are the same? There may be something
unique about your situation that aggravates this issue: it might be
interesting to understand it.
