Hello, sorry for the delay in replying.
The computer is brand new. It's a Hewlett Packard Pavilion d4790y
that I had the company customize.
The copy of Vista Home Premium is retail. I bought the full version,
not OEM or an upgrade. I formatted the hard drive and installed it
clean.
The sound is integrated into the motherboard. I know there's a
RealTek High Definition Audio component on it. Beyond that, I admit
I'm not entirely sure what the audio component is.
The video card is an NVidia GeoForce 7500 LE.
The problem occurs when I play anything--ANYTHING--in Windows Media
Player. It affects audio files and video files. The format of the
file doesn't matter.
If you need further information from me, please let me know. Thank
you.
