Windows Explorer error message while trying to burn a dvd

Ok, so I just tried burning a dvd (divx, avi files) and I keep getting
an error message saying Windows Explorer has stopped working and then my
computer just restarts. I've never encountered this problem before. I
click the link to find a solution and all it says is problem is caused
by xvid and doesn't give a solution to fix it.

Wouldn't uninstalling XVID and instead installing FFDShow Tryouts fix this?
