Cannot edit certain songs metadata/details

Hi there-

I've just recently bought a new Vista laptop and am in the process of
transferring my music collection from my old xp one. Almost every song
is immaculately tagged, and all tags (including album art) display
perfectly in itunes in my new machine, BUT in the folder itself (ie.
Music), nearly 130 tracks display their filename only - no other details
(artist, album, etc..) turn up, nor can they be edited from the
"properties" menu.

I've tried tag and rename and the programme does nothing - the tags
that appear in itunes appear in tag and rename. It's just in the vista
"music" folder that most of the tags don't appear.
