Adding A Printer

My pc is a HP running Vista 64. My printer is a HP Laserjet 4ML. It seems that no matter what instuctions I get, it always send up getting messages such as Restart your Spooler, etc.

Can anyone help me. After two days of fighting with this problem, I am wondering if I should just let the new PC collect dust or perhaps return to my old faithful computer. I have been to the HP site, it didn't work either.

Connect Printer to PC, click on Add Printer Wizard, search for the drivers
for LaserJet 4ML. They should be included in Vista. If your Spooler
crashes, you have somehow got corrupted drivers on your PC, uninstall
correctly...
