Audio files shortened in length when imported into Movie Maker

Hi,
I have Movie Maker Version 6.0.6000.16386 Service Pack 1 and usually dont
have issues but just had something happen when importing a MP3 audio file
into Movie Maker to accompany pictures for a movie. The MP3 file is not
corrupt and is 2.24 minutes in total. Upon importing into Movie Maker, it
cuts the music to be 1.01 minutes.
Thoughts as to why this is happening? I also tried copy/paste which works to
paste the audio file into M/Maker, but still shortens the lentgth of the song.

What happens when you play the audio? Does it play faster so that it
completes in 1.01 minutes, or does it just stop playing after 1.01
minutes? Perhaps the audio only plays for the length of time the video
portion plays.
