recording wmp visualizations as a video

running vista home premium....I assume wmp is 11.
I've seen video screen captures on the internet of visualizations and would like to burn a dvd for my wife to use while exercising. I've found a very basic screen recording device but it will not record audio, which means I take a video of the visual and then save that visual and the song to movie maker AND the spend alot of time trying to sync the 2 into a flowing mixture.
Anybody aware of a free program out there that will record all at once?
