Movie maker turns to white screen at publish....

I looked at the other threads that were started in regards to my
problem, i tried them all.

i have wmm 2.6 and the files i'm editing are wmv. every time i try to
publish it turns to a white screen. Are their any new solutions to this
issue? i have vista 32 bit.

If you are running MM 2.6 it indicates that your
system could not support version 6. So...I would
suspect your Publishing issues are also related
to limited system resources.

Try working with smaller, less complex projects.

So i've been having problems publishing a wmv file after editing it. I
saw that some one converted there file to a mpg and they were golden. so
i tried it and it worked. now i have a new problem. when i click on the
video box in the timeline wmm shuts down.. i need to be able to control
volume in my vids and also mute clips... I can't catch a brake.
