How can I get the right view in Windows Photo Gallery?

Recently, my hard drive died and I just got another one. But now, ever
since I've had the new hard drive, whenever I try to open pictures in
Windows Photo Gallery, it doesn't open the picture right.

Normally when I try to save pictures from my email, all I need to do is
click on them and choose Open, and it will pull up that one picture in
Windows Photo Gallery. Instead, now it opens Windows Photo Gallery and
shows a bunch of other pictures that I have on my computer. It doesn't
even show the one that I'm trying to view. I don't see where it is that
I can change the view to just look at one picture.

How can I get it back the way it was?
