Ulead Video Studio

Hello,

I used to work with Ulead Video Studio when I had Windows XP. I now
(unfortunately) upgraded to Windows Vista and have to buy another Ulead
Video Studio CD!

Before editing my film, I captured my shots directly from the mini DVD of my
Sony DCR-DVD 105 handycam, without using a firewire.

There are two versions of this software: Video Studio 11 Plus and Video
Studio Standard. First and foremost, could anyone confirm that I will still
be able to capture my pictures from my mini DVD without using a firewire
connection? Then, does anyone know the difference between these two
versions, apart from the price :-) ?

Could you also suggest any other video editing programme working under Vista
and not requiring this dreaded firewire connection?
