Which formatting alternative for a dvd so it works on a mac

My problem is that my pictures can't be read on apple computers when I burn
them on a dvd and use the formatting alternative Live File System 2.01. It's
look like the dvd is empty and ready to be burned when it's open on a mac
computer.
My question is: Which formatting alternative should I use so I know that the
dvd are working with both pc and apple computers and also with different
operating system.
If anybody know, please answer because this occured me I lot of unnecessary
work

Maybe your best bet would be to use the Mastered format...
